We aren’t a fit for those companies who seek talent that doesn’t have foundry or metals process, product and market experience. You can find those people on your own. What we do is work tirelessly to find unicorns, those exceptionally qualified candidates who live within commuting distance or who are willing to relocate for a good career opportunity.

For candidates

We don’t send you jobs. We advise your career.

We have walked thousands of metalcasting professionals through the interview and hiring process. We know the key players, the news, the forecasts and the real health of the job market — so the conversation starts with where you want to end up, not with whatever opening happens to be sitting on our desk.

  • Completely free to you — the employer pays the fee

The firm

Our founder poured metal before he placed people.

Before he was a recruiter, founder Greg Borchert worked a jobbing foundry as both a laborer and a supervisor. That is where the understanding came from — not from a database.

Borchert Associates is a management and executive search firm built for the metalcasting industry, nationally and internationally. Good foundry executives, managers, engineers and technical leaders get harder to find every year. Our decades in this industry, and a search process we have refined over all of them, are how we still find them.

A strategic partnership — not a resume service.

Coverage

Every foundry. Every metal. Every process.

A shop that pours one-off castings and a shop that pours ten thousand a day are two different businesses. We recruit for both — and for everything between.

01

Investment casting, high-alloy and aerospace

Precision castings held to tight tolerance and full certification.

02

Green sand jobbing, gray iron

Short runs and constant changeover, where pattern knowledge decides the job.

03

High-volume automotive and unionized plants

Line speed, uptime, and leaders who can work a union floor.

04

Jobbing cope-and-drag operations

One-off and small-lot molding — a different discipline entirely.

05

Every metal, every molding process

Ferrous and non-ferrous, sand through permanent mold.

06

North America and internationally

Searches run at home and abroad, in the plants and at the top.
